Talent trees

Talent trees (abbreviated as TT) provide a way to customize a character's build in a similar way that classes do in other games. Each character has 2-3 trees unique to it (the Fatebinder has 6). Players can pick and mix talents from different trees. Talent unlocks include permanent skill boosts, passive effects, stances and abilities.

In order to progress to the lower rows of the tree players need to invest a certain amount of points in that tree (indicated by the number left to the row). Certain talents may have additional requirements such as a character's level or a preceding talent.

  Arrow Shield 1 AAA When superior, replace Dodge with Parry while defending against ranged attacks.
  Slice 1 Gain the ability "Slice" A carefully placed attack that attempts to open a major artery, leaving the target Bleeding.
  Sneak Attack 1 AAA Adds bonus Accuracy and damage to attacks made from stealth.
  Dual Wield Mastery I 2 AAA Increases weapon damage while wielding a weapon in each hand and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Duelist I 2 AAA While wielding a melee weapon, sometimes riposte missed melee attacks. Also gain bonus Accuracy when a weapon with nothing in your offhand.
  Leg Sweep 2 Gain the ability "Leg Sweep" Perform a leg sweep against nearby enemies. If successful targets are knocked Prone.
  Unfettered 2 Gain the ability "Unfettered" Gain a burst of movement speed for a short duration. During this time you cannot be engaged by enemies.
  Unseen Advantage 2 AAA Apply poison with weapon attacks made from stealth.
  Disarm 4 Gain the ability "Disarm" Disarm your target, leaving them unable to re-equip their weapons for a short duration.
  Dual Wield Mastery II 4 Dual Wield Mastery I AAA Moderately increases weapon damage while wielding a weapon in each hand allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Duelist II 4 Duelist I AAA While wielding a melee weapon, often riposte missed melee attacks. Also gain bonus Accuracy when wielding a weapon with nothing in your off hand.
  Hundred Fists 4 Flurry of Blows AAA Unleash a triple attack on your target.
  Unencumbered 4 AAA While wearing only light armor, gain a bonus to Dodge and Parry. This effect is lost if any heavy armor is worn.
  Blade Dancing 6 AAA Gain bonus Parry for each enemy that engages you. Also gain abonus to Hit and Graze Deflection.
  Charge 6 Gain the ability "Charge" Charge towards an enemy instantly and perform a powerful attack. All enemies in your path also take damage.
  Dual Wield Mastery III 6 Dual Wield Mastery II AAA Greatly increases weapon damage while wielding a weapon in each hand and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Duelist III 6 Duelist II AAA While wielding a melee weapon, always riposte missed attacks. Also gain bonus Accuracy when wielding a weapon with nothing in your offhand.
  Leaping Kick 6 Gain the ability "Leaping Kick" Leap into the air and deliver a powerful kick to your target's head, dealing heavy damage and interrupting them.

  Shield Mastery I 0 AAA Increase the defensive benefits from shields.
  Shield Slam 0 Gain the ability "Shield Slam" Slam your shield against a target, Dazing them for a moderate duration.
  Staggering Force 0 Modifies the ability "Thrust" Causes Thrust to Interrupt the target, delaying their next attack.
  Blade Wall I 1 AAA Allows an additional enemy to be engaged at one time and grants a bonus to damage dealt to targets that are stunned or Prone.
  Stance: Challenger 1 Gain the stance "Challenger" Taunt nearby enemies every few seconds while this stance is active.
  Stance: Guard 1 Gain the stance "Guard" Enter a defensive stance, gaining a bonus to Armor.
  Heavy Guard I 2 AAA While wearing only heavy armor, gain an additional bonus to Armor.
  Iron Light as Air 2 Gain the ability "Iron Light as Air" Temporarily remove all recovery penalties from equipped armor and shields. The lifted weight allows you to swing twice when attacking for a short time.
  One-Handed Mastery I 2 AAA Increase weapon damage while using a single one-handed melee weapon and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Pinning Strike 2 AAA Enemies that are struck from stealth are rooted in place.
  Shield Bash 2 Shield Slam AAA An empowered version of Shield Slam with an added Stun effect and increased Crush damage.
  Blade Wall II 4 Blade Wall I AAA Allows two additional enemies to be engaged at one time and grants a large bonus to damage dealt to targets that are Stunned or Prone.
  One-Handed Mastery II 4 One-Handed Mastery I AAA Moderately increases weapon damage while using a single one-handed melee weapon and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Shield Mastery II 4 Shield Mastery I AAA Greatly increases the defensive benefits from shields.
  Heavy Guard II 6 Heavy Guard I AAA While wearing only heavy armor, gain an additional bonus to Armor.
  Knockdown 6 Gain the ability "Knockdown" Lift your heel and drive it into your foe's gut, knocking the wind out of them and sending them to the ground.
  One-Handed Mastery III 6 One-Handed Mastery II AAA Greatly increases weapon damage while using a single one-handed melee weapon and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Shield Assault 6 Shield Bash AAA Assault your target, bashing them with your shield to apply a Daze and Stun, then following up with a powerful overhand attack
  Vigilance 6 AAA Grants immunity to Afflictions while health is critical.
  Blood Brings Victory 9 AAA When you are critically hit, Challenger Stance will amplify damage taken by nearby enemies and Guard Stance will grant you and your party bonus Armor.

  Abundant Arms I 0 Level 3 AAA The party gains use of one additional weapon set and can switch weapons in combat with a lower recovery penalty.
  Bandolier 0 Level 3 AAA The party gains two additional Quick Item slots and consumables used while in combat are more effective.
  Mark Enemy 0 Level 3 Modifies the ability "Thrust" Adds a marking effects to the Thrust ability. Attacks against the Marked target gain bonus Accuracy. The mark lasts until the enemy dies.
  Refuse Pain 1 Gain the ability "Refuse Pain" Generate an aura of will that removes a harmful effect from you and each ally every few seconds.
  To Arms! 1 Mark Enemy Modifies the ability "Thrust" Adds defensive bonus to you and nearby party members when the Thrust ability is used.
  Will of Command 1 Gain the ability "Will of Command" Use your commanding will to inspire allies, boosting the damage of you and your party for a short time.
  Abundant Arms II 2 Abundant Arms I AAA The party gains use of two additional weapons sets and can switch weapons in combat with a lower recovery penalty.
  Arbiter of Knowledge 2 AAA Grants additional Spell Slots to everyone in the party.
  Boost Morale 2 AAA While in combat, your party members that fight near you gain a bonus to each of their Attributes.
  Seize the Initiative 2 AAA After attacking a target from stealth, increase the damage dealt by you and your party members for a short time.
  Second Wind 2 AAA Once per combat, when you fall to low health, you let out a battle cry that heals you and your party member for a portion of their maximum health.
  Killing Rush 4 AAA Everyone in the party regains a portion of their maximum health when any party member kills an enemy.
  Resurgence 4 Gain the ability "Resurgence" Point to a fallen ally and command them to rejoin the fight.
  Swap Positions 4 Gain the ability "Swap Positions" Switch positions with target ally.
  Apply the Lash 6 Gain the ability "Apply the Lash" Exhort a companion to improve on the battlefield, granting bonus Finesse, Quickness, and Resolve. This bonus increases based on their Fear.
  Call to Battle 6 Gain the ability "Call to Battle" Inspire a companion, granting bonus Might, Wits, and Vitality. This bonus increases based on their Loyalty.
  Victory in Defeat 6 AAA Once per combat, when your health becomes critical, nearby allies have their damage and Quickness increased for a short time.
  Undying 9 Gain the ability "Undying" Plant your banner on the battlefield. You and your party members near the banner regenerate health and receive a bonus to damage.

  Arcane Charge 0 Modifies the ability "Thrust" Adds the Spell Breached Affliction to Thrust attacks. Also grants a bonus to magic skills for a short time after using Thrust.
  Charged Strike 0 Gain the ability "Charged Strike" Charge up your Magic Staff and release a powerful burst of energy that explodes in a small area around the target.
  Magical Prodigy 0 AAA Grants a bonus to Lore Skill.
  Cone of Magic 1 Gain the ability "Cone of Magic" Channel a burst of energy through your magic staff, damaging all enemies in front of you.
  Energy Shield 1 Gain the ability "Energy Shield" Focus your will into a shield of energy around yourself or a party member, granting additional Armor.
  Expanded Mind 1 AAA Grants additional Spell Slots.
  Enfeeblement 2 AAA When attacking from stealth, Weaken your target for a short duration.
  Magic Staff Mastery I 2 AAA Increases damage with magic staves and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Ward Master 2 Energy Shield Modifies the ability "Energy Shield" Adds physical protection to Energy Shield and causes hostile spells that target the recipient of your Energy Shield to be less effective.
  Channel Strength 4 Cone of Magic AAA Channel a burst of energy through your magic staff, dealing damage to all enemies in a cone, and stealing health from the Bane.
  Expanded Mind II 4 Expanded Mind I AAA Increase number of additional Spell Slots granted by Expanded Mind.
  Magic Staff Mastery II 4 Magic Staff Mastery I AAA Moderately increase damage with magic staves and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Spell Reflection 4 Ward Master Modifies the ability "Energy Shield" Grant your Energy Shield ability a chance to reflect traditional human spells back on to their casters.
  Chaos Blast 6 Gain the ability "Chaos Blast" Release a wave of energy around yourself, hitting all nearby foes with a random damage type.
  Imbue the Elements: Fire 6 AAA Adds fire damage to weapon attacks.

  Stance: Mighty 1 Gain the stance "Mighty" An aggressive stance that focuses on powerful strikes that penetrate a foe's Armor.

  Escape 0 AAA Adds a rooting effect to the Thrust ability. Thrust now also increase movement speed and breaks current engagements.
  Hobble 0 AAA Target your enemies' feet with a ranged attack, Hobbling them if successful.
  Poisoned Dart 0 AAA Throw a poisoned dart at an enemy. If it hits, the target recieves a long lasting Corrosive Poison Affliction.
  Heart Shot 1 AAA Delay your aim to focus on hitting the target's heart. Gain additional Accuracy for this attack and leave the target Bleeding.
  Piercing Throw 1 AAA Adds Armor Penetration to attacks with Thrown Weapons.
  Safe Distance 1 AAA Gain a bonus to Accuracy when attacking targets that are further than 5 metres away.
  Arrow Catch 2 AAA Gain a chance to catch physical ranged projectiles and launch them back at attackers.
  Bow Mastery I 2 AAA Increases weapon damage with bows and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Evasive 2 AAA When superior, replace Parry with Dodge while defending against melee attacks.
  Penetrating Shot 2 Heart Shot AAA Charge up and launch a projectile with enough force to penetrate armor. Enemies in a line take damage and are left Bleeding.
  Thrown Mastery I 2 AAA Increase damage with thrown weapons and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Bow Mastery II 4 Bow Mastery I AAA Moderately increase weapon damage with bows and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.
  Explosive Missile 4 AAA Launch a glowing projectile at a single target. When it hits, it explodes in an area, dealing Fire damage and Blinding enemies in a cloud of black smoke.
  From the Shadows 4 AAA Cause your target to become Terrified when you strike from stealth.
  Headshot I 4 AAA Critical Hits with bow attacks Stun targets for a short time.
  Thrown Mastery II 4 Thrown Mastery I AAA Moderately increases damage with thrown weapons and allows basic attacks to strike multiple times.

  Ricochet 6 AAA Graze and misses with ranged attacks bounce to enemies behind their target.

  Darken the Sky 9 AAA Target an enemy, then launch multiple projectiles into the air. Each one strikes a random enemy within the selected area, rooting them.

The Punisher tree transforms Barik into a warrior of retribution, excelling at slaying foes that dare to stand against him.

  Art of the Blade I 1 AAA Increases one-handed and two-handed melee weapon damage.
  Engagement Attack I 1 AAA Gain a chance to attack enemies as they engage you.
  Fierce Demeanor 1 AAA Barik becomes an intimidating force on the battlefield. Enemies nearby Barik have their Resolve reduced.
  Art of the Blade II 3 Art of the Blade I AAA Moderately increases single one-handed and two-handed melee weapon damage.
  Breaking the Wall 3 AAA A powerful multi-hit attack that Dazes, Stuns, and Sunders the opponent.
  Stance: Legs of Iron 3 Gain the stance "Legs of Iron" Root in place, gaining immunity to Push and Prone effects and a large boost to Endurance at the cost of the ability to move.
  Training Ground 3 AAA When Barik is in the party, all party members gain bonus experience for Athletics, One-Handed, and Two-Handed Skills.
  Engagement Attack II 6 Engagement Attack I AAA Increases the chance for Barik's Engagement Attacks to occur.
  Glory to the Bold 6 AAA For each enemy engaging him, Barik gains a bonus to any damage he deals.
  Suffering Strength 6 AAA Once per combat, when Barik's health is critical, he gains a bonus to Might and Resolve until combat ends.
  Art of the Blade III 9 Art of the Blade II AAA Greatly increases single one-handed and two-handed melee weapon damage.
  Engagement Attack III 9 Engagement Attack II AAA Further increases the chance for Barik's Engagement Attacks to occur.
  Last Stand 9 AAA Once per encounter, when Barik would be defeated, he delays his unconsciousness for a short time.
  Resilient One 9 AAA When a hostile effect expires on Barik, he gains a bonus to Endurance, Will, and Magic defenses for a short time.
  Blade's Embrace 12 AAA Deal damage to all enemies nearby, this damage increases for each enemy engaging Barik.

Sentinel treeEdit

The Sentinel tree focuses on allowing Barik to maintain control on the battlefield while increasing the amount of damage he can absorb.

  Pursuit 1 AAA At the start of combat, Barik gains a large boost to movement speed for a short time.
  Retribution 1 Clash of Iron AAA After using Clash of Iron, Barik will attack twice with his normal strikes for a short time.
  Seasoned Veteran I 1 AAA Allows Barik to engage an additional enemy.
  Stance: Phalanx I 1 Gain the stance "Phalanx I" Fight defensively, gaining a bonus to Armor.
  Defender's Watch I 3 AAA Barik and nearby party members take reduced damage.
  Seasoned Veteran II 3 Seasoned Veteran I AAA Further increases the number of enemies that Barik can engage.
  Shield Wall 3 AAA Increases the defensive benefits from shields.
  Sound of War 3 Retribution AAA Barik's Clash of Iron bolsters the strength of his nearby allies, granting them a bonus to Armor for a short time.
  Bond of Honor 6 AAA Bond with an ally, sharing the damage that they receive. While the bond lasts, both Barik and his bondmate gain Might and Vitality.
  Defender's Charge 6 AAA Leap to the aid of an ally, taunting enemies nearby.
  Defender's Watch II 6 Defender's Watch I AAA Barik and nearby party members take moderately reduced damage.
  Heroic Defense 6 AAA Once per combat, when Barik's health reaches a critical level, he will be healed instantly.
  Defender's Watch III 9 Defender's Watch II AAA Barik and nearby party members take significantly reduced damage.
  Stance: Phalanx II 9 Stance: Phalanx I AAA Maintain a stance that is equal parts offensive and defense, gaining an Armor bonus and dealing Pierce damage to enemy melee attackers.
  Vigilant Protector 9 AAA When Barik uses Bond of Honor, both Barik and the target gain a damage absorbing shield for a short time.
  Wounded Defender 9 AAA Once per combat, when Barik's health is critical, he will gain a significant Armor bonus for a short time.
  Shield of Suffering 12 AAA Heal all nearby allies and gain a damage absorption shield proportional to the health recovered.

Eb talentsEdit

Gravelight treeEdit

The Gravelight tree focuses on calling upon Terratus Grave to lift foes into the air and slam them to the ground, siphon life from enemies, or even to warp Eb to different locations.

  Arcane Missile 0 AAA Send a charged bolt of arcane energy at a foe that bounces to hit nearby enemies.
  Gravestrike 1 AAA Cause each enemy in a cone to trigger an explosion of Gravelight energy. Foes take Arcane damage and a portion of their lost health is drained back to Eb.
  Runic Barrier I 1 AAA Grants bonus Armor while Eb is wearing Light Armor in combat.
  Terratus' Call 1 AAA Lift a target into the air and violently throw them back down to the ground, dealing crush damage.
  Call of Reckoning 3 AAA Eb's presence Frightens nearby Bane.
  Moonlit Way I 3 AAA Grants a bonus to Control Gravelight skill and Gravelight damage at night.
  Runic Barrier II 3 Runic Barrier I AAA Grants a moderate bonus to Armor while Eb is wearing light Armor in combat.
  Runic Teacher 3 AAA While in the party, Eb and her allies gain more skill experience with Lore, Spells, and Magic Staves.

  Terratus' Grip 6 AAA Eb suspends the target in mid-air. They can only be hit by ranged attacks, and cannot attack, move, be stunned, or knock down.
  Call to the Grave 9 AAA Once per encounter, when Eb's health is critical, she causes an explosion of Gravelight energy around her that drains health from nearby foes.
  Empowered Afflictions 9 AAA Afflictions caused by attacks last longer.
  Moonlit Way III 9 Moonlit Way II AAA Grants a significant bonus to Control Gravelight skill and Gravelight damage at night.
  Terratus' Gate 12 AAA Eb uses Gravelight to teleport across the battlefield. Enemies near her cast and destination locations are hit with a Gravelight attacks that drains health.

Tidal treeEdit

The Tidal tree provides a variety of effects from pushing groups of foes, or drowning enemies in globes of water, to obscuring the battlefield in a magical mist or hastening ally movement.

  Elemental Fury I 1 AAA Gain a bonus to all Frost Damage dealt.
  Fluid Body 1 AAA Affliction applied to Eb have their duration reduced.
  Mother's Embrace 1 AAA Summon a globe of water to surround the target's head, leaving them to slowly drown.
  Clear Mind 3 AAA While Eb is not taking damage her Recovery Time is reduced and she strikes twice with her normal attacks. Being hit removes this bonus for a few seconds.
  Elemental Fury II 3 Elemental Fury I AAA Gain a bonus to all Shock and Frost Damage dealt.
  Purifying Waters 3 AAA Conjure enchanted waters to wash over the target, removing all hostile effects.
  Repelling Wave 3 AAA Creates a powerful wave that repels foes in a cone, pushing each of them back a fair distance.
  Student of Magic I 3 AAA Gain a bonus to damage dealt by Magic Staves.
  Cascading Embrace 6 AAA When Mother's Embrace erupts, nearby targets are Afflicted with Drowning.
  Empowered Elements 6 AAA Spells and abilities gain a larger area of effect.
  Mother's Breath 6 AAA Create a thick fog that reduces enemy Accuracy and grants a bonus to the party's Subterfuge.
  Student of Magic II 6 Student of Magic I AAA Gain a moderate bonus to damage dealt by Magic Staves.
